International Museum Day: May 18, 2010The date has been set for Tuesday, May 18, but many museums are celebrating International Museum Day for the entire week.

The motto for International Museum Day continues to be: museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, co-operation and peace among peoples. In keeping with that motto, the theme decided on for this year’s celebrations is Museums for social harmony.

Many museums are offering special rates and experiences in conjunction with International Museum Day, so plan on visiting your favorite museum on May 18th, or better yet, check out some museums you haven’t been to yet! As art enthusiasts, the Park West Gallery bloggers are looking forward to taking full advantage of International Museum Day to see some great artwork!
