Romero Britto Redesigns the Iconic CNN Logo
In August, CNN Icon presenter Monita Rajpal traveled to the Swiss resort of Montreaux which has, for more than four decades, been home to the annual jazz festival.
While in Montreaux, Rajpal met and interviewed pop artist Romero Britto, one of the many contemporary artists represented by Park West Gallery.
In 1999, Britto was asked to design the official poster for the Montreux Jazz Festival and he did so again in 2010 (view the poster here at the Park West Gallery Art Blog).
In the CNN interview, Britto shows off two classic Gibson guitars which he customized to be auctioned at the jazz festival for a musician’s charity. Rajpal also challenged the Brazilian artist to redesign the famous red CNN logo.
