Local Girl Scout troop earns Art Merit Badge at Park West Gallery

Clawson, Michigan Girl Scout Troop 75191 toured Park West Gallery on Wednesday to earn their Art Merit Badge. The troop of 10-11 year old girls spent 2 hours strolling through Park West’s 23 galleries, learning about each artist and the varying artistic styles and mediums exhibited throughout the galleries.

The troop members were an enthusiastic audience throughout the tour; spending extra time enjoying and discussing Autumn de Forest’s works. Autumn, who is just a little older than the girl scouts themselves, is one of Park West’s featured artists.

At the end of the tour, the scouts not only earned their Art Merit Badge, they received a piece of art to take home.
