The Imaginative World of Orlando Quevedo Comes to Las Vegas

Light, shadow, realism, and fantasy blend together to thrill the senses in Cuban artist Orland Quevedo’s paintings. Come experience it for yourself in our latest exhibition: Between Fantasy and Reality: The Art of Orlando Quevedo, now through July 9, 2026 at Park West Gallery Las Vegas.
Inspired by the great masters, including Rembrandt and Rubens, and synthesizing Impressionist interplay of light and shadow with Surrealist imagery, Quevedo dazzles viewers with an array of colors and forms designed to expand the imagination.
Born in Cuba in 1970, Quevedo expressed his artistic talent early. After attending fine art schools and ultimately the Superior Institute of Art in Havana, he emigrated to the U.S. where the student became the teacher as a professor at La Salle University in Philadelphia.
Proud of his heritage and with an astute knowledge of art history, Quevedo combines broad aspects of Impressionism, Cubism, and Modernism with a unique blend of vivid colors, creating both realistic and fanciful images in a style known as Magical Realism.
With art appearing in more than thirty galleries worldwide and sought by collectors of the genre, Quevedo was also honored to be the official artist of the 2023 National Cherry Blossom Festival, with his artwork featured by the Embassy of Japan at their Japan Information & Culture Center in Washington, D.C.
This exclusive exhibition of Magical Realism also features a number of new pieces. Contained within these paintings are numerous references and actual images from Warhol, Grant Wood, Klimt, Vermeer and other artists he admires. There’s the Mona Lisa and Degas ballerinas, and more. Discovering great classic art within each painting is part of the magic that keeps drawing collectors and art lovers to his work.
