Celebrating America’s 250th with the Art of Tim Yanke and Manuel
The MACC For the Love of Liberty – The Exhibition is celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary with a special Eighth Annual Veterans Art Exhibition highlighting the works of some of America’s greatest living artists. The exhibit, titled For the Love of Liberty, will spotlight Tim Yanke’s American flag paintings along with the acclaimed fashion designer Manuel’s state jackets honoring the original 13 colonies. The MACC is presenting For the Love of Liberty in partnership with the Park West Foundation.
The Park West Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Park West Gallery, continues its decades long partnership with the Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center (MACC) in Hendersonville, Tennessee, to sponsor major museum exhibitions, public artist talks, and educational masterclasses: all of which assist in raising funds for MACC’s Veterans programs, including its’ noted Between The Lines healing arts program, a free Program empowering veterans, adults, teens and children suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, and other mental health disorders. Since 2016, the Park West Foundation’s support helps the MACC host world-class exhibitions and provides local art lovers with opportunities to meet the Artists directly and participate in community workshops. These collaborative exhibitions have brought works by world- renowned modern and contemporary artists to the Nashville area. World-class Exhibitions and events sponsored by the Foundation at Monthaven have included Master Fine Artists Salvador Dali, Mark Kostabi, Autumn de Forest, pop-surrealist David “Lebo” LeBatard, Alexendre Renoir, and America’s Visual Storyteller, Artist Tim Yanke.

Alongside Tim Yanke, Gallatin-based artist Don Olea, who was the featured artist for the MACC’s 7th Annual Veterans Art Exhibition, will also display some of his works celebrating the founding of the United States. Military veterans enrolled in the MACC’s Between the Lines healing arts program will display their art in an exhibit titled I Didn’t Know How to Tell You.
Landmark Works by Tim Yanke to be presented August 2nd through September 6th, 2026 at The Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center
FOR THE LOVE OF LIBERTY
Yanke has created a curated Collection for this Exhibition of U.S. flag paintings that he refers to as “Yanke Doodles.” The inspiration for these works came to him following the tragic events of 9/11. In creating the paintings, he started to experiment with non-traditional colors for the flag. These variegated hues represent the different cultures, countries and communities who have come to find a home in America. In some of the Yanke Doodles there is also a Vietnam service ribbon intertwined, a nod to the U.S. military veterans who served in the Vietnam War. For the Love of Liberty will include these flags along with other works the artist has created to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
