Catch a Great Live Show – The Artistry of Janna Hudson
Not a dancer, singer, or musician – a painter. With so much to entertain you in Las Vegas, fine art created before your eyes may come as a surprise, but it’s something you won’t want to miss. From June 18 – 21 and June 25 – 28, you can watch Park West artist in residence, Janna Hudson, paint live in the Park West Las Vegas Gallery, from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
A multidisciplinary artist and creative storyteller, Hudson draws on many influences to produce her work. She is inspired by nature, movement, and wellness. To explore emotional themes, she uses abstract and watercolor approaches as well as layered textures. Some of those themes include the calm of silent reflection, the strength of resilience, and the power of transformation. Vibrancy lies at the heart of every piece she paints.
For abstracts, she uses rich colors to convey her esoteric imaginings. Janna paints with tranquil blues, the serene energy of earthy greens, and teals that emerge from blending the two. Touches of gold are also woven into her pieces, bringing a sense of hope, light, and optimism.
Hudson’s watercolors are soft, flowing, and stylized, focusing on refined brushwork that echoes the Shodo stylings of Japan. Spirit and emotion come to life in this format, whether the subject is a graceful, feminine figure or the organic beauty of animals and plants. Her paintings are firmly rooted in the grounding force of nature, balanced with endless possibilities of restoration and renewal.
Hudson’s interests span nature, art, writing, recreation, and discovery. Somehow, she captures each of these facets with every brush stroke. Seeing her paint in person is a refreshing take on the usual entertainment found on the Las Vegas strip.
