Intense Impressionism Adorns the Walls in Southfield, MI

Metro Detroit residents get a treat this April. Park West Museum and Gallery is pleased to announce the return of special exhibitions in Southfield starting with The Intensity of Impressionism: The Artwork of Daniel Wall, now through April 23, 2026.
As the founder of Intense Impressionism, Wall has created a new, unique style of art that blends the Impressionism movement of the 1800’s with the 2,000-year-old traditions of the East. It is a style that brings one of the best-loved painting modes of Western art history into the 21st century, reflecting the energy and intensity of modern life.
His paintings take the beloved style of Monet and supercharges it with vibrant, joyful color and incredible texture you have to see up close to truly appreciate it. Wall creates that texture using a palette knife and “dry-brush” techniques rooted in Chinese calligraphy to create his signature impasto. The results make each work of art a dynamic three-dimensional experience. It is art that practically leaps off the canvas with brilliant reds, golds and iridescent hues.
The subjects he paints celebrate everything from glowing cityscapes and floral masterpieces to American icons like the Statue of Liberty and Old Glory. After many successes and accolades in his early years, Wall’s popularity reached the national stage when he was a featured artist of the 2022 National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C. Now his artwork is sought after by collectors, corporations and celebrities alike.
Come celebrate the return of exhibitions to Metro Detroit and experience the Intense Impressionism of Daniel Wall, now through April 23, at Park West’s Southfield Museum and Gallery.
