Sensual and sensational – Csaba Markus makes top-10 list

“Pure Love” (2013), Csaba Markus

Csaba Markus’ artwork “Pure Love” rounds out the list of the Top 10 Most Sensual Paintings, according to The Toronto Sun. The Park West artist is in outstanding company with paintings by Gaugin, Picasso, Poussin, Velázquez and Botticelli, among others, included in the list.

Csaba expresses the “eternal feminine” in her many guises, both as mortal woman and as mythological goddess.

During a recent visit to his Southern California studio, Markus talked about the emotional depth of his work and his careful attention to every detail.

His muse, says the Hungarian-born artist, is always woman.

The first time my wife and I saw a Csaba painting it captivated us. The eyes drew us in and we fell in love with his artwork. We have the honor and pleasure of owning 3 of Csaba’s artwork along with meeting Csaba in person. We look forward to collecting more in the future.

  6. Chappel Morris says:

I’m just a teenage girl that appreciates modern art. I first saw an original by Csaba Markus when I was on a cruise. The piece spoke to me. I have yet to find a print of it to hang in my room along with other prints from artists such as Tarkay, and Jean-Claude. I promised to myself that I would one day own the original. Csaba Markus will definitely always be an inspiration and motivator for me as I pursue a career as an artist. Thank you, Park West and Csaba for inspiring me so strongly. Vermilia will forever be my favorite.

  7. Elsa Martin says:

Saw Vermillia and she captivated me from first glance. Didn’t bid on her but had to have her anyway! Looking forward to purchasing more in the future! Would love an original!

I own 3 in a series love them. I am certainly not in it for the money however if that’s your deal. Mine have tripled in price since I bought them in 08. A small LED white light on them really makes them pop. I love them & there not for sale.

Hello Colleen — Unfortunately, we do not buy artwork from collectors, but we would suggest you look into high end consignment shops in your area. Some of our collectors have also had success selling their artwork on https://artbrokerage.com. Hope that helps!
