World-renowned pop artist Peter Max is celebrating the life of Frank Sinatra with a series of paintings depicting “the Chairman of the Board.”

Max has created more than 25 works of Sinatra in honor of the centennial of the famous crooner’s birth (December 12, 1915). They show Sinatra in various stages of his career surrounded by Max’s bold color schemes.

Max unveiled the works on March 2 at his studio with Sinatra’s daughter, Nancy. Several of the new works are a part of “Sinatra: An American Icon,” an exhibition that will run from March 4 to September 4 at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. The exhibition will feature Max’s works alongside recordings, art, clothing, photos and personal items, many of which were provided by the Sinatra family and haven’t been seen by the public.

The show is scheduled to relocate to the Grammy Museum of Los Angeles on September 4. In addition, photos from the show will be at the International Festival of Arts and Ideas in New Haven, Connecticut in June.

The exhibition is curated by the Grammy Museum in collaboration with the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts and the Sinatra family.

Max has painted plenty of portraits throughout his career, including seven U.S. presidents, celebrities and even contemporary recording artists like Taylor Swift.

Max has done everything from redesigning NBC’s peacock symbol to working with the Grammy Awards and being the official artist for five Super Bowls, the World Cup USA, Woodstock and NHL all-star game.
