SOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 26, 2016 – The Park West Foundation, founded by Park West Gallery CEO and Founder Albert Scaglione and his wife, Mitsie, is working with National PTA and its Reflections® arts in education program to inspire young artists around the country with a $20,000 sponsorship.

The National PTA Reflections program encourages students in all grades to explore and be involved in the arts in an educational way, including in the mediums of visual arts, photography, literature, film production, dance choreography and music composition.

The program is kicked off every September during National Arts in Education Week and then celebrated in the summer as part of National PTA’s annual convention.

During the fall, a theme search contest for students is held. The 2016-2017 program theme is “What is Your Story?” The winner of the contest for the following school year is recognized at the convention.

“The Park West Foundation is proud to work with National PTA as a platform to extend our commitment to support art awareness and to foster a love of the arts for students in schools across our nation,” says Diane Pandolfi, Director of the foundation.  “We look forward to celebrating the innovative accomplishments of emerging artists who participate in this greatly admired student recognition program.”

Park West representatives were pleased to participate in the Awards and Reflections Celebration held July 2 in Orlando, Florida, and help recognize Mackenzie Smith, the winner of the visual arts category for the 2015-16 school year.

Park West Gallery is excited about its involvement in this educational endeavor and the opportunity to support students in their journey in the arts.
