Tim Yanke - Oakland Press Park West GalleryA “Yanke Doodle” hung by the artist himself helps makes a new Habitat for Humanity dream home just dandy for one Michigan family.

“It’s the least I can do — provide a splash of color in somebody’s life,” Park West artist Tim Yanke said. “It’s an honor to hang in people’s homes and means more than any gallery I’m hanging in.”

Read about the good work that Habitat of Oakland is doing and Tim Yanke’s plans to continue donating his work to brighten the homes of the nonprofit’s future dwellings.

“These people might not have the discretionary income to go out and buy fine art — that’s not at the top of the list for them right now,” Yanke said.

“So, if we can provide something that’s an original painting, or some kind of embellishment an artist has done, and help make the home feel like a home … it’s the least I can do,” Yanke said. C and G News also reported on the story.
