Francoise DuMontier
The delightful engravings of Francoise DuMontier convey a French sense of irrepressible "joie de vivre" and childlike capriciousness. Born in Lagny, a small French town outside Paris, DuMontier attended several art schools in Paris but found them too academic for her poetic visions. In 1969, she illustrated FOCHANSONS EROTIQUES. Her works have been exhibited at numerous galleries, including Galerie Benezit in Paris and the Chateau of Mont Saint L^ger, near Deauville.
