Eyvind Earle
Eyvind Earle, celebrated for his lush California landscapes, studied art with his father, a noted artist. He had his first public showing at the age of 14 in a small gallery in southern France. By the time he was 21, Earle had exhib-ited his work in a half dozen galleries around the world. At his first New York show, the Metropolitan Museum of Art acquired one of his paintings for its permanent collection. During the 1940's, Earle joined Walt Disney Studios as an animator and was the chief artist for "Sleeping Beauty." Later he formed his own production company to create cartoons for movies and commercials.
Earle received the gold medal prize grand award winner for his paintings in "The story of California and Art" exhibit in San Diego. He has, illustrated numerous books and magazines, and his paintings have been in great demand for the last 15 years.
