Chapellier was born February 12, 1971 in Sarrebourg, France. When she was very young, Chapellier began to show an interest in painting. In 1989, she started at the Beaux-Arts de Nancy art school on scholarship and studied two years there. Fascinated by nature and ecology, she began painting scenes of animals and, in particular, cats. The discovery of the work of Leonor Fini marks a decisive stage in her work. After having lived in Correze, she now lives on Cote d'Azur, the color of the Mediterranean landscape light bringing more bursts and vibrancies to her palette.
