The paintings and serigraphs of Ann Cooper combine bold, vibrant colors with clearly defined subjects in a world of fantasy and reality. A graduate of Newcomb College, New Orleans, Cooper has shown her works in galleries and museums throughout the United States, including Sargent Art Gallery (retrospective), Eastern Illinois University, Charleston; Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.; New Orleans Museum of Art; High Museum of Art, Atlanta and Arkansas Arts Center, Little Rock. Museum and public collections include Brooks Memorial Museum, Memphis; Beaumont Museum of Art, Eastern Illinois University, Charleston and New Orleans Museum of Art.
